AutoInvest - FAQ

Q: What is AutoInvest?

A: AutoInvest is a feature that allows you to set up recurring, automatic purchases of precious metals. Once you have placed an AutoInvest order, BullionStar will automatically place orders on your behalf at your chosen frequency, helping you build your precious metals holdings over time without needing to manually place each order.

Q: What frequencies are available for AutoInvest?

A: AutoInvest supports multiple frequencies including weekly, fortnightly, monthly, and quarterly options. You can choose the schedule that best suits your investment or savings strategy.

Q: How do I set up an AutoInvest schedule?

A: To create an AutoInvest schedule, add your desired items to your cart and proceed to checkout. Place a regular order and select your preferred AutoInvest frequency (weekly, fortnightly, monthly, or quarterly) at checkout. This initial order will establish your recurring schedule based on the product, quantity, payment method, and delivery preferences you selected.

Q: When will my AutoInvest orders be placed?

A: AutoInvest orders are placed at the same time of day as your original order. For example, if your first order was placed at 2:30 PM, all subsequent AutoInvest orders will also be placed at 2:30 PM on their scheduled dates. You can view your scheduled orders under Your Account > AutoInvest.

Q: How is the price determined for AutoInvest orders?

A: AutoInvest orders are priced at BullionStar’s prevailing website prices at the scheduled time of placement, including any applicable quantity tier discounts. Due to market price fluctuations, the price may differ from previous orders or from indicative prices shown when the schedule was created.

Q: Can I modify my AutoInvest schedule?

A: Yes. You can update your AutoInvest schedule at any time under Your Account > AutoInvest, including quantities, currency, payment method, delivery details, or skipping the next order. Any updates will apply to future orders only. Orders already placed are binding and cannot be changed.

Q: Can I skip an Order?

A: Yes, you can skip the next order for an item at any time under Your Account > AutoInvest

Q: How do I cancel my AutoInvest schedule?

A: You can cancel your AutoInvest schedule at any time by going to Your Account > AutoInvest. Cancellation takes effect immediately and stops all future automatic orders. Please note that cancellation does not affect orders that have already been placed – those remain binding and must be completed.

Q: Can I have different AutoInvest schedules for different products?

A: Yes. Each AutoInvest schedule is created per order. By placing separate orders and selecting different AutoInvest frequencies, you can set up different schedules for different products.

Q: Is there a minimum or maximum order amount for AutoInvest orders?

A: BullionStar’s minimum customer buy order amount in effect at the time the original AutoInvest order is placed applies. If BullionStar later changes the minimum customer buy order amount, existing AutoInvest schedules will not be affected.

Q: What happens if a product is out of stock when my AutoInvest order is due?

A: Being subscribed to AutoInvest does not guarantee availability of products. If a subscribed product is completely out of stock, that item will be skipped and you will be notified via e-mail. If there is some stock available but not enough to fulfil the full scheduled quantity, an order will be placed for the available quantity at that time. If three consecutive AutoInvest orders are skipped because the product is completely out of stock, the AutoInvest schedule for that product will be automatically cancelled.

Q: Are AutoInvest orders binding?

A: Yes. Once a scheduled AutoInvest order is placed, it becomes a binding order and is subject to BullionStar’s standard terms and conditions. This includes payment terms and any applicable fees for unpaid or cancelled orders. You are obligated to complete payment for all orders that have been placed.  

Q: What happens if I don't pay for an order?

A: If an AutoInvest order is cancelled or remains unpaid, BullionStar reserves the right to cancel all your AutoInvest schedules and any pending AutoInvest orders without notice. Standard fees for unpaid orders will apply as per BullionStar's terms and conditions.

Q: Will I be notified about my AutoInvest orders?

A: Yes, you will receive e-mail notifications when AutoInvest orders are placed, skipped, revised, or when a schedule is stopped. However, BullionStar is not liable for any loss arising from non-receipt of notifications, so we recommend regularly checking your account.

Q: Can multiple AutoInvest orders be combined?

A: Yes, if you have multiple AutoInvest orders scheduled at the same time with the same payment method, delivery method, and shipping details, they will automatically be combined into a single order for your convenience.

Q: Can BullionStar cancel or modify my AutoInvest schedule?

A: BullionStar reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend, modify, or discontinue the AutoInvest feature at any time, and to cancel or suspend any AutoInvest schedule in the event of a breach of the terms and conditions or where otherwise deemed necessary.
