The obverse features the head of state of the British Commonwealth, Elizabeth II, along with the weight of the coin, its purity and face value. The face value of the 2 ounce coin is A$200.

The reverse features a rabbit next to a cabbage and a pot with the Chinese character for prosperity inverted. To the left of the cabbage is the Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark. "Year of the Rabbit" is imprinted along the bottom of the coin.
