Product Information:
The 2024 Libertad silver 1/10 oz coin is issued by Mexico and produced by the Mexican Mint (La Casa de Moneda de México). The Mexican Mint is the oldest mint in the Americas, and the Libertad is a popular series with collectors due to the fairly low numbers produced in some years.
Each of these 2024 Mexican Libertad 1/10 oz silver coins is struck to bullion standard, with a diameter of 20 mm, and 25,500 coins were produced in 2024. Although they are considered legal tender in Mexico, the Libertads do not have a face value on them.
The obverse of the fractional silver Libertad coins features the current Mexican coat of arms, showing a golden eagle perched on a prickly pear cactus, gripping a serpent, surrounded by an oak and laurel wreath. The inscription "ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS" can also be found, which translates to 'United Mexican States'.
On the reverse, the winged Victory, also known as the Angel of Independence, stands in front of two volcanoes, Popocatépetl and Iztaccihuatl. The words “1/10 ONZA PLATA PURA 2024 LEY .999” can be seen alongside the mint’s logo ‘Mo’.
This is a great opportunity for collectors to pick up a 2024 silver Libertad 1/10 oz coin. Individual coins are supplied in coin capsules.
