The Britannia bullion coin takes its name from 'Britannia', a classical personification of a female warrior signifying Britain's strength and maritime tradition.
The reverse of the 1 oz platinum coin features Britannia standing with a trident, shield and olive branch in in front of a radial sunburst behind.
The obverse of the coin features Britain´s monarch, Queen Elizabeth II with an innovative ‘guilloche’ background design.
The Royal Mint is the UK´s national mint and is fully owned by Her Majesty´s Treasury. Platinum Britannia coins are non-circulating UK official legal tender with a face value of £100.
As an investment platinum coin, the 1 oz Royal Mint platinum Britannia is exempt from Singapore's Goods and Services Tax (GST) when bought and sold.
