This 1/10 troy ounce gold bullion coin from the Perth Mint celebrates the 2021 'Year of the Ox' in the Chinese Lunar calendar and is part of the Mint's new Australian Lunar Series III coin releases.   

Each 2021 Year of the Ox gold bullion coin has a gold purity or fineness of 0.9999, and is essentially pure gold.

The Ox is the second of the twelve animals in the Chinese zodiac. Those born in the Year of the Ox are said to be strong, reliable, fair and conscientious, inspiring confidence in others.

The reverse of the 1/10 oz gold coin features detailed imagery of an Ox with the Chinese character for Ox displayed in a contemporary style along with the words ‘Ox 2021’.

The front of the coin features an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II with the words “AUSTRALIA”, and the coin’s weight and gold purity “1/10 oz 9999 Au”.

The 2021 1/10 oz gold Lunar is legal tender in Australia with a nominal face value of AUD 15.
