This is the smallest gold bullion coin in the 2020 Lunar series issued by Australia's Perth Mint. It celebrates the 2020 'Year of the Mouse' in the Chinese Lunar calendar and is the first year in the Mint's Australian Lunar Series III coin releases.

Each 1/20 oz Lunar gold bullion coin has a gold purity or fineness of 0.9999, and so is essentially pure gold.

Those born in the Year of the Mouse are said to be intelligent, resourceful and optimistic

The reverse of the 1/20 oz gold coin features detailed imagery of a mouse foraging among stalks of wheat with the Chinese character for mouse ? displayed in a contemporary style along with the words ‘MOUSE 2020’.

The obverse of the coin features an Ian Rank-Broadley designed head portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with the words “AUSTRALIA”, and the coin’s weight and gold purity “1/20 oz 9999 Au”.

This 2020 Lunar gold coin is legal tender in Australia with a face value of AUD 5.

The Perth Mint is fully owned by the Government of Western Australia, which guarantees the authenticity and precious metal content of all bullion coins produced by the Mint.

Each 1/20 troy oz gold Lunar coin comes presented in a protective coin capsule.
