This 1/10 troy ounce gold bullion coin from the Perth Mint celebrates the 2020 'Year of the Mouse' in the Chinese Lunar calendar and is part of the Mint's new Australian Lunar Series III coin releases.   

Each 2020 Year of the Mouse gold bullion coin has a gold purity or fineness of 0.9999, and is essentially pure gold.

The mouse is the first of the twelve animals in the Chinese zodiac. Those born in the Year of the Mouse are said to be intelligent, optimistic, energetic and resourceful.

The reverse of the 1/10 oz gold coin features detailed imagery of a mouse balancing on stalks of wheat with the Chinese character for mouse displayed in a contemporary style along with the words ‘MOUSE 2020’.

The front of the coin features an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II with the words “AUSTRALIA”, and the coin’s weight and gold purity “1/10 oz 9999 Au”.

The 2020 1/10 oz gold Lunar is legal tender in Australia with a nominal face value of AUD 15.
