This 1 oz gold bullion coin from Australia’s Perth Mint is minted in 99.99% pure gold and celebrates the Chinese Year of the Mouse for 2020.

The mouse is the first of the twelve animals in the Chinese zodiac. Those born in the Year of the Mouse are said to be intelligent, optimistic, quick-witted and resourceful.

The reverse of the 1 oz gold coin features a vivid portrayal of a mouse foraging among stalks of wheat with the Chinese character for mouse displayed in a contemporary style along with the year 2020.

The obverse of the coin features an Ian Rank-Broadley designed portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with the words “AUSTRALIA”, and the coin’s weight and gold purity “1 oz 9999 Au”.

Delivered in coin capsules, Year of the Mouse 1 oz gold bullion coins have a limited mintage of 30,000 pieces so will appeal to investors and collectors alike.
