This 2024 1 Kilogram Gold Kangaroo is a gold bullion coin produced by Australia's Perth Mint. Each coin weighs 1 Kilogram and has a gold purity of 99.99%.

The Australian Kangaroo bullion coin series has been minted by the Perth Mint since 1986 and has become one of the most respected investment bullion coin series in the world.

The obverse of the 2024 1 Kilogram Gold Kangaroo coin features Features a single iconic hopping red kangaroo surrounded by rays of sunlight, along with the inscription “Red Kangaroo,” The Perth Mint's "P125" mint mark, date, purity and weight. The reverse of this coin also includes a security feature in the form of a micro-laser engraved letter within each coins' inscription that is only detectable under a magnifying glass. The "P125" mint mark celebrates the 125th year anniversary of the Perth Mint.

The reverse face of the Gold Kangaroo features a head portrait of His Majesty King Charles III, the official head of state of Australia, and the coin's face value of '3000 dollars'. 

In addition to the 1 Kilogram gold bullion coin, the Australian gold Kangaroo is also minted in weights of 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, 1/10 oz.
