The coin is thus very difficult to obtain. The 5 oz Silver Libertad has the same design as the 1 oz Silver Libertad, of an angel in the foreground, with volcanoes Popocatépetl and Iztaccihuatl in the background.

The coins are legal tender but have no nominal value given to them.
