The reverse design changes each year, and the 2014 coins feature a close-up of a koala's face, peering from behind eucalyptus leaves. The obverse features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II (head of state of the British Commonwealth) by Ian Rank-Broadley whose initials ‘IRB’ can be seen below the Queen’s neck. The coin’s face value of 10 DOLLARS is also included, alongside the inscription “ELIZABETH II” and “AUSTRALIA”.
