This concluding design, meticulously crafted by David Lawrence, depicts Beowulf facing the dragon in his last battle.

The Royal Mint in Llantrisant, South Wales, is one of the oldest mints in the world and is fully owned by His Majesty's Treasury, part of the British Government.

Each coin is struck in 999 fine silver to The Royal Mint's Bullion standard.
