Newly issued for 2020, the mouse is the first of the twelve animals in the Chinese zodiac. Those born in the Year of the Mouse are said to be intelligent, industrious, cheerful and optimistic

The reverse of the 1 oz silver lunar coin features striking imagery of a pair of mice among husks of corn along with the Chinese character for mouse ? and the year 2020.

The obverse of the coin features a Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Australia’s monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, and the coin’s weight and silver purity “1 oz 9999 Ag”.

The Perth Mint’s Year of the Mouse 1 oz silver bullion coin has a limited mintage of 300,000 pieces. Each coin comes presented in a protective coin capsule.
