Celebrating the Chinese Year of the Goat, this 2 oz silver bullion lunar coin is minted by Australia’s Perth Mint in 0.9999 fine silver.

Newly issued for 2027, the Horse is the eighth of the twelve animals in the Chinese zodiac.

People born in the Year of the Goat are traditionally described as gentle, compassionate, and artistically inclined — peace-loving and generous with those close to them.

The reverse of each coin portrays a mature goat, a young goat and a baby goat grazing peacefully. The image embodies the auspicious phrase “Three Goats Bring Bliss” symbolising the end of winter and the arrival of spring, the renewal of all things and prosperous new beginnings. Featured in the design is a plum blossom tree representing purity, resilience and hope. Also included in the design is the Chinese character for ‘Goat’, the inscription ‘GOAT 2027’, as well as The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark. 

The obverse of the coin features a Dan Thorne effigy of Australia’s monarch, His Majesty King Charles III, the coin’s weight and silver purity “2 oz 9999 Ag” as well as the monetary denomination.
