Australia is home to some of the most remarkable wildlife on Earth, and The Perth Mint's Discover Australia series celebrates these creatures and the landscapes they live in. This complete 2012 set brings together all five coins from that year's release in one beautiful presentation.

Each coin features a different native animal. The Red Kangaroo, the largest of its kind, stands alongside the Whale Shark, the biggest fish in the world yet gentle despite its size. The vivid Green and Gold Bell Frog represents Australia's wetlands, while the Goanna, one of the country's largest monitor lizards, and the Kookaburra, famous for its laughing call, complete the line-up. Each design by Darryl Bellotti is set against a coloured background pattern that adds depth and vibrancy.

The set includes five coins, each containing 1 oz of .999 fine silver and struck to Proof quality. Each coin measures 40.6 mm in diameter and 4.0 mm thick, carries a face value of 1 Dollar, and bears the "P" mint mark for Perth. The obverse of every coin shows a right-facing portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with the face value.

The coins were struck by The Perth Mint, one of the world's most respected mints, and are legal tender backed by the Australian government. Each coin is protected in its own capsule and displayed in a wooden presentation box with a numbered certificate of authenticity.

With a limited mintage of only 7,500 sets, this collection is an excellent choice for wildlife enthusiasts, Perth Mint collectors, and anyone who loves Australia's natural heritage.
