On 19 June 2010, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden married Daniel Westling in Stockholm Cathedral, in a celebration so grand it was widely described as the biggest European royal wedding since Charles and Diana married in 1981. To mark the occasion, Sweden's central bank, Sveriges Riksbank, issued this magnificent 4,000 Kronor gold coin — a proof-quality keepsake of one of the most joyful days in modern Swedish royal history.

Struck in radiant .900 fine gold (90% purity), the coin carries a total weight of 12 grams, of which 10.8 grams is pure gold (0.347 troy oz). The obverse presents a tender portrait of the young couple above their wedding date, while the reverse showcases Crown Princess Victoria's crowned coat of arms framed by delicate butterflies and the denomination. Every detail was created by the celebrated Swedish artist Ernst Nordin, renowned for his work in coins, medals, and sculpture.

With a recorded mintage of just 4,370 pieces, this is a genuinely scarce commemorative — far rarer than typical bullion issues — making it as much a collector's treasure as a store of gold value.
