The popular Lunar Series is now available in its 2011 edition. Perth Mint has produced Lunar Series gold coins since 1996.

The obverse features the head of state of the British Commonwealth, Elizabeth II, along with the weight of the coin, its purity and face value.

The 2011 Gold Lunar Year of the Rabbit coin features a rabbit next to a cabbage and a pot with Chinese lettering and the Chinese character for “rabbit” also appears in the design with the Perth Mint’s traditional “P” mintmark.

The face value of the 1/2 ounce coin is A$50.

Older editions of the Lunar series rarely come up for sale and this represents a unique opportunity.
