The Canadian 1oz Gold Maple Leaf is one of the world’s most popular 1oz gold coins and is minted by the Royal Canadian Mint, a fully-owned corporation of the Canadian Government.

The RCM gold Maple Leaf has a gold purity of 99.99% which is the highest purity of any gold bullion coin on the market.

All over the world, precious metal buyers increasingly care about how their gold is mined and where it comes from. In response to the value now placed on responsible and transparent metal sourcing, the Royal Canadian Mint is pleased to introduce a special edition Gold Maple Leaf bullion coin composed of pure gold sourced entirely from a single source: Agnico Eagle’s Meliadine mine in Nunavut, Canada.

The obverse (front) face of the 1 oz Gold Maple Leaf coin features a portrait of Canada’s head of state, Queen Elizabeth II, with the coin’s face value, 50 dollars, and the year of issue, 2022, inscribed in an arc below. A new Single Source Privy Mark also indicates that the coin's gold was responsibly sourced from a single mining operation.

The reverse of the coin features a designs of Canada’s national symbol, the Maple Leaf, with the words ‘CANADA’ ‘FINE GOLD’ ‘1 OZ OR PUR’, and the gold coin’s purity 9999.

The RCM 2022 1 oz Gold Maple Leaf coin features three security enhancements - radial lines on both coin faces, a micro-engraved maple leaf displaying the number 22, and the RCM’s proprietary BULLION DNA anti-counterfeiting technology.

Gold Maple Leaf coins were first introduced in 1979, and since then over 25 million troy ounces by weight have been sold worldwide. This makes the secondary market for Gold Maple Leaf bullion coins one of the most liquid in the world.

The coin comes delivered in a unique credit card sized packaging that is ideal for easy handling and storing.
