This 1/10 oz gold bullion coin from Australia’s Perth Mint is minted in 99.99% pure gold and celebrates the Lunar Year of the Goat for 2027.

The Year of the Goat coin is the eighth coin to be issued in the New Perth Mint Lunar Series 3. Running from 2020 to 2032, the Perth Mint's latest Lunar series of coins will feature the 12 animals In the Chinese Lunar calendar.

People born in the Year of the Goat are traditionally described as gentle, compassionate, and artistically inclined — peace-loving and generous with those close to them.

The reverse of the 1/10 oz gold coin features a majestic Goat standing proudly on a mountain plain, with rugged terrain and a solitary tree visible in the distance. Included in the design is the Chinese character for Goat displayed in a contemporary style along with the year 2027.

The obverse of the coin features a Dan Thorne designed portrait of His Majesty King Charles III with the words “AUSTRALIA”, and the coin’s weight and gold purity “1/10 oz 9999 Au”.
