The Goat is the eighth of the twelve animals in the Chinese zodiac.

The reverse of the 1 oz gold coin features a majestic Goat standing proudly on a mountain plain, with rugged terrain and a solitary tree visible in the distance. Included in the design is the Chinese character for Goat displayed in a contemporary style along with the year 2027.

The obverse of the coin features a Dan Thorne designed portrait of His Majesty King Charles III with the words “AUSTRALIA”, the coin’s weight and gold purity “1 oz 9999 Au” and the monetary denomination. The coin has a legal tender value of AUD 100.
