The Queen's Beast is the first of ten coins in the newly released Queen's Beast Series, a series that features the heraldic beasts that stood guard at The Queen's coronation.

The first beast is "The Lion of England". The Lion of England is a crowned golden lion who has been supporting the Royal Arms since the accession of James I in 1603. It supports a shield showing the Arms of the United Kingdom, depicting the harp of Ireland, treasure of Scotland and the Lions of England.

Each 1 oz gold Queen's Beast is minted in .9999 fine gold.
