The Leshan Giant Buddha is a monumental stone statue carved into a cliff face in Sichuan Province, China. Standing at 71 meters (233 feet) tall, it is the largest and tallest stone Buddha statue in the world. Built during the Tang Dynasty in the 8th century, the statue depicts Maitreya, the Buddha of the future, seated serenely with hands resting on his knees. Overlooking the confluence of three rivers—the Min, Dadu, and Qingyi—it was constructed to calm the turbulent waters that threatened passing ships. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Leshan Buddha is a marvel of ancient engineering and spiritual devotion.

Each coin contains 1/4 troy ounce of gold and is minted in .9999 gold purity and is limited to a maximum mintage of just 6,000.
