The obverse of the 1 oz Silver Philharmonic features imagery of the Great pipe organ of the Vienna Concert hall encircled by the words “Republik Oesterreich” and the coin’s weight, silver purity and year of issue, 2020.

The reverse of the silver coin features a selection of musical instruments from the Vienna Philharmonic orchestra including a cello, horn, harp, and bassoon. Both coin faces feature designs by the chief engraver of the Austrian Mint, Thomas Pesendorfer.
