Up for bidding is 2015 5 oz Mexican Silver Libertad Proof Coin. This beautiful coin is produced by the Casa de Moneda de Mexico, Mexico's national mint.
5 oz Proof Silver Libertads are produced with limited mintages. The 5 oz Silver Libertad has been produced since 1996 but for many of the years the mintage has been below 6,000 coins.
The coin is thus very difficult to obtain. The 5 oz Silver Libertad has the same design as the 1 oz Silver Libertad, of an angel in the foreground, with volcanoes Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl in the background.
The coins are legal tender but have no nominal value given to them.
