The reverse of the coin depicts detailed imagery of an American bison, with the words “United States of America” encircled above, and the coin’s official face value “$50” and weight and gold purity “1 oz. .9999 Fine Gold” below.
The obverse of the coin features a portrait of a Native American with braided hair and feather designed by sculptor James Earle Fraser, and the word ‘LIBERTY’ to the upper right of the obverse surface.
The Gold Buffalo is the only American official legal tender gold coin produced in .9999 gold.
As high purity investment grade gold bullion coins, American Gold Buffalo's are exempt from Singapore’s Goods and Services Tax (GST) when bought and sold.
Individual Gold Buffalo coin orders are delivered in a plastic coin flip, while purchases of 20 gold coins are dispatched in their original US Mint plastic tube.
