Up for bidding is 2020 1 oz  Australian Gold Lunar Series "Year of the Mouse" Proof Coin (Pre-Owned in Good Condition). This 1 oz gold proof coin from Australia’s Perth Mint is minted in 99.99% pure gold and celebrates the Chinese Year of the Mouse for 2020.

The mouse is the first of the twelve animals in the Chinese zodiac. Those born in the Year of the Mouse are said to be intelligent, optimistic, quick-witted and resourceful.

The reverse of the 1 oz gold coin features a vivid portrayal of a mouse foraging among stalks of wheat with the Chinese character for mouse ? displayed in a contemporary style along with the year 2020.

The obverse of the coin features an Ian Rank-Broadley designed portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with the words “AUSTRALIA”, and the coin’s weight and gold purity “1 oz 9999 Au”.

The proof coin is delivered in a clam shell box with an outer gift box and has its' own Certificate of Authenticity.
