The Singold Series in gold was produced 1984-1995 with one design each year reflecting the Chinese Zodiac calendar.

The obverse of the coin features the Chinese characters for grace, wisdom and spirit whereas the reverse features a snake poised up behind a lady.

The mintage for the 1988 edition is only 2,500 coins.
